Ways to join
There is no application form and no fee. Different people want different levels of involvement, so here is exactly what each option gives you.
1. Subscribe to the newsletter
This is the main way to join, and the one we recommend starting with. You receive event announcements, mentorship openings and career resources. It is email only — it does not create an account or a public profile.
2. Come to an event
Events are free and open. See what is coming up — and if nothing is scheduled yet, the newsletter is how you will hear first.
3. Volunteer
The most direct way in. AMITA is entirely volunteer-run and we are actively recruiting across events, marketing, partnerships, mentorship, content, web and board roles. See open roles.
4. Mentor, or find a mentor
Our mentorship programme is being built now and we are collecting interest from both sides. Register your interest.
Who can join
AMITA is for Muslim professionals and students working in or moving into technology in the United States. That includes software engineering, data, AI, cybersecurity, cloud and IT, product, design, research, health technology, founders and executives — at any career stage, including people changing careers into tech.
What we do with your information
We collect as little as possible. The newsletter needs an email address; everything else is optional. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with advertisers. See our privacy policy.
